New Boulders at Wartenberg and Kronthal

  • At the left hand side of "Glaubenssache" Fb. 6b (highball) and to the right of "Eiserner Kanzler" Fb.7c+, Ingo Bald has opened a roof traverse called "Bona Fide" Fb.7b+. The boulder starts in the middle of the block, where a crack in the roof ends. The 15ft (5m) traverse has the same finish as "Eiserner Kanzler".
  • Thomas Leuleu has repeated "Mad Max" 8a in Kronthal/Elsass, a combination of the classic "Orange Amer" 8a and "Acm juvnile" 7c. When the temperature reached 32F (0 deg C) in January, he did "Carmina Burana" 8a, also in Kronthal.

Modified Red Chili Cup Reglement

The organizers of the Red Chili Cup decided to change the rules.
The partipiciants submit their three best scores from all contests and cancel their worst.

The decision is the result of the large distance between the different locations, the additional forth contest and overlaps with other boulder events.

The upcoming events are:

  • Januar 24th, climbing hall "Extrem" in Ludwigshafen
  • January 31st, "The Rock" in Karlsruhe

"Lords of the holds" (route preparation) for the finals in "The Rock" in Karlsruhe will be Lutz Limburg & Alex Wenner.
